What is SportNXT?

SportNXT is an innovative sports thought leadership summit to be hosted annually in Melbourne from April, 2022. SportNXT will gather global, regional and domestic leaders from all sectors of the sports industry to create, share and connect.

The 2-day live conference will feature an unprecedented line-up of local and regional industry leaders live on stage, combined with the biggest global names via live video link. The third day of SportNXT is reserved for optional curated site visits to selected sports infrastructure in and around Melbourne.

The summit takes place during the same week as the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2022 and will be held at CENTREPIECE, the new state-of-the-art conference and events facility, in the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct. Being the only city in the world to annually host a Formula 1 Grand Prix and a tennis Grand Slam, Melbourne is a perfect backdrop for a global sport business summit.

The next decade will see every major sporting event cycle through the Asia-Pacific region and Australia is uniquely placed to play a major role.

Our goal is to create a platform for Australian sports businesses to share their story with a global audience.

Who is organising SportNXT?

SportNXT is operated by Left Field Live.

Left Field Live (LFL) is an international live sports and events business created to help sports rights holders reach new and interesting markets. LFL has delivered events across a range of sports including rugby union, international soccer, ice hockey, basketball, college football and baseball into markets like Australia, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

What’s included in my delegate pass?

A delegate pass provides access to the 2-day live conference and includes in-person access to all sessions, refreshment breaks, networking lunches and access to provided speakers presentations.

What’s included in my digital pass?

A digital pass is valid for the use of one user and provides access to live content, inclusive of all keynotes, and sessions. The pass also includes access to post event content and select speaker presentations, this will be available to you via email in the week following the event.

Please note: Sharing of speaker presentation’s is subject to approval from the guest speaker. Access must not be shared by multiple user’s or redistributed in any way. Organiser’s reserve the right to deny access to anyone who is found violating the above terms.

Is there a group booking discount?

Yes – groups of 2 + and 5 + delegates are entitled to a special discount rate. Please refer to delegate pass cost FAQ for full pricing information. If you have any questions about how group bookings work, or wish to discuss a larger group booking of more than 10 delegates please contact [email protected]

How do I receive my delegate pass?

Following the completion of your registration and payment, you will receive an email confirmation. We will contact you via email one week prior to the event to provide final information regarding your attendance. Delegate passes and all event material will be provided upon arrival at the event – nothing will be sent in the post.

Will there be a delegate list available?

No, SportNXT does not provide delegate lists to attendees.

Can I transfer my delegate pass?

A delegate pass is entry for one person only, passes cannot be shared. A substitute delegate is welcome at any time prior to the event, provided the request is made in writing to [email protected]

What is your cancellation policy?

A substitute delegate is welcome at any time provided the request is made in writing. A full refund less a $250 (GST Inclusive) processing fee is applicable on cancellation requests made in writing within 10 days of registration. No refunds are available for cancellations made more than 10 days after registration. Where SportNXT is required to reschedule the event in the interest of the event partner’s and guests, your pass will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled dates. Should you be provided with a credit note at the discretion of the event organisers, this credit is valid for the specified amount of passes, and not the monetary value. Should SportNXT be unable to offer, deliver or fulfil any engagement within 12 months, you will be entitled to a full refund.

Who should I contact if I want a refund?

Please email all of your booking details to [email protected] to request a refund, along with the reason for requesting the refund.

Your request will be assessed by the SportNXT team in line with our Terms and Conditions.

What are you doing to comply with COVID safety for the SportNXT summit in April?

Engaging with CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park who are developing and regularly reviewing their COVIDSafe operating principles, and ensuring they have the right resources available to provide a COVIDSafe environment for all

  • Collection of attendee details via a QR code at the venue to support contact tracing
  • Ensuring physical distancing where queues may exist
  • Placement of sanitiser and handwash stations throughout the venue
  • Engaging with the Victorian Department of Health and government agencies to ensure compliance at every step

What should I do if I am unwell prior to the event?

You must not attend SportNXT if you have signs or symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19), such as: cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath. We recommend that you get tested if any of these symptoms exist.

Please refer to the cancellation policy of our Terms and Conditions in regards to your ticket if you are unwell and cannot attend.

Do I have to wear a face mask at the event?

SportNXT will provide an update around wearing masks closer to the event time. SportNXT will work with the Victorian Department of Health and other agencies to ensure that all aspects of your event experience are consistent with public health expectations and guidelines. Delegates are also encouraged to refer to public health guidelines around wearing masks, including for travel to and from the event.

How will SportNXT adhere to contact tracing protocols?

Details of attendees will be collected via a QR code at the venue for contact tracing purposes, in compliance with the Victorian Department of Health guidelines and in accordance with privacy laws and obligations.

What happens if the event is cancelled or I am unwell and I am travelling to Melbourne for the event? Will you reimburse my travel fees?

We are not able to reimburse travel or accommodation fees. Airlines and hotel groups are making concessions with their policies for deferring or changing travel plans, and we hope you can take advantage of these.

What does Day 3 consist of?

Friday 8 April is different from the 2-day live conference and reserved for SportNXT and the Victorian Government to host curated site visits, to selected sports infrastructure in and around Melbourne.

Details and options of site visits will be communicated in full to all delegates.

How much does a delegate pass cost?

Digital Only delegate passes are also available to international delegates who are unable to attend in person.
